Fortress file two is a water colour painting created by Lotta Barlach 2019. It has collected its squares from a fort in the Bavarian municipality Niederschönfeld in which the German playwright Ernst Toller 1919 was inprisoned for his part of an armed resistance to the government of his country. Toller wrote several plays in this fort. 
 
Fortress file two is an independent part of a triptych based on layers of water colour paint that are applied on acid free water colour paper. It is embracing moments in which past and presence meets and includes a weave of coincidences and its opposite.
