Lin Adler is a fantastic stylist and wardrobe planner based in Berlin, Hamburg and Chicago. She is the stylist behind many of the photos on this site.

Lotta Barlach is the designer behind the garments of the label Lotta. While working as a set and costume designer she found the need of practical and aesthetically functioning work wear with possibilities to keep the tools needed for each day at work. Therefor she created the Lotta skirt with all its pockets. While wearing it in different contexts, requests were made. She therefore decided to make some more skirts. That is how the label began.

Rebecka Barlach is the daughter of the designer of the label Lotta. Her involvement in the development of the label and the products is inevitable. Her cleverness and wisdom makes her one of the greatest consultants. She models some of the products of this site. When she is not in front of the camera she is behind it.

Lillian Bäckman Apart from being a great art director and graphic designer, educated at Berghs School of Communication, Lilian is also an illustrator, author, animal rights activist and an August price winner. When she saw the first Lotta skirt it did not have a name. She had been asked to create a logo for it. But what was the name of the label? Lilian came up with the idea (which was rather a command) to give the skirt and the label the name Lotta. She then designed the logo which is inspired by the logo for the denim brand Lee. Lilian has been involved in the graphic design around the label since the start and is one of the wearers of the garments.

Lupe Castro is an international creative director and stylist. She flies between the different fashion weeks of the world wearing the Original Lotta Skirts when she is not in Tenerife where she can be seen in Jersey Gown Sleeveless Blue, Red, Black or Turquoise. Some pictures of her appear on this site. She is an active insta user.

Doreen Giessler is a dipl textile engineer based in Berlin. She has constructed the patterns for most of the manufacturable of the Lotta garments. Those patterns are used for present and future collections presented in this online store.

Öllegård Groundstroem is a an extremely intelligent theatre director. Lotta Barlach and Öllegård Groundstroem has collaborated in quite a few productions for theatre, opera and film. Öllegård is also a great advisor and a language expert. She is the model of some of the photos of this website and a great wearer of the label.

Per Han is a super intelligent copywriter who elaborates with words in a brilliant way. He has a wide and deep understanding of everything between poetry, philosophy and branding. He was originally trained at RMI Bergs School of Communication, has decades of experience of working as a copywriter and runs the most interesting pod Osvenskheter.

Antje Heera is a dipl textile engineer and was the link between the label Lotta and the manufacturer while production was taking place in Germany. She has sewn some of the garments that can be bought on this website.

Maria van Imhoff Burkhardt is modeling some of the garments presented on this site. Apart from being a brilliant model Maria studies medicine in Aachen.

Marija Mihailova is one of the great photographers behind the photos of this site. She is based in Berlin and has a deep understanding of how to communicate the garments that a fashion photography consists of including the materials.

Annelie Morey is one of the fantastic wearers of the Lotta garments. She even got married in one.

Melissa Needham is a great friend of the designer of the label. Their friendship derives back to 1989 when they where students at Wimbledon School of Art in London. That is when their endless discussions about art and design began to take shape. Those discussions has continued throughout the decades and Melissa is one of the many vise advisors behind this label. Melissa is nowadays a fashion retailer and runs the award winning Black Truffle on Broadway Market in Hackney. She is also an art collector, a specialist in the crafts involved in shoe making and an IGTV producer. With her deep and nuanced understanding of art, applied arts and of the conceptuality of crafts and materials, she makes the creators that she interviews explain essential aspects of their work that are overlooked in most contexts.

Arianna Nicoletti is a passionate fashion upcycler based in Berlin. She is the spider of a collaboration between slow fashion labels and Stadtmission Berlin. The Hoody Boleros and some of the Lotta Skirt Original consists of materials upcycled from second hand garments collected by Arianna Nicoletti and kindly donated from Stadtmission Berlin were Arianna was working just for the upcycling designers.

Alex Pacheco is the art director and graphic designer behind this webshop. He has a deep inner understanding of art, design, fashion and society, and a profound knowledge about how to visually communicate such matters. To collaborate with such a creative soul and to see ones’ work being visually communicated with a visual concept created by Alex Pacheco is a great honour. Alex was originally educated at Konstfack University of Arts, Craft and Design in Stockholm. He runs the design agency Amigos and was until recently the director of studies at Forsbergs School of Communication.

Anders Thessing is a Swedish photographer based in Stockholm. He takes great pictures. He always ad extra depth, accuracy and detail into the images and includes post production in the artistic part of the photographic process. To work with Anders is always a pleasure with brilliantly sharp results.

Tuija Valén is a makeup artist who works with fashion, film and theatre. Lotta Barlach and Tuija Valén has collaborated on different productions within new circus, theatre and fashion photograpy since a few decades. Her enormously positive energy, her hugely visual mind makes every working day a fun day with fantastic results. In her large luggage she carries some Guldbagge receiving films and a professional life in the core Paris fashion world.

Anna Wallander is an actor, artist, director, Strindberg connoisseur, Siri von Essen interpreter, feminist, ceramicist and activist. She wears and models some of the Lotta garments that are presented on this site. She has a deep understanding of all arts and aesthetics and is such a great, creative and intelligent person to collaborate with.
